This is old news to most, but I've been meaning to write a post about Gourmet Magazine's demise for the last month. In December Condé Nast closed Gourmet Magazine. My mother subscribed to Gourmet and since I was a little girl I would stare endlessly at the beautiful photographs of the food. Gourmet sparked my love for food and cooking, as well as my obsession with food magazines. Now I subscribe and read other ones, but I will sorely miss Gourmet. Luckily when I go back home I can still reread the old Gourmets because my mother has saved all of her issues. Just now they're a collector's item.
