I'll spare you another review of Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan, but I do want to give it a few words. I saw all the big titles this winter (True Grit, The Fighter, 127 Hours), and while they each had their highlights, I wasn't completely struck by them. But Black Swan finally gave me something original, thrilling, and all together superb. And if Natalie Portman doesn't win Best Actress, then I will completely denounce the academy.*
